I serve as Assistant Professor of North American Art in the Art History Department at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where I hold a McKnight Land-Grant Professorship (2010-12). Prior to that, I taught at Stanford University as Acting Assistant Professor (2006-08) and enjoyed a year in residency at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2005-06). I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History from UCLA in 2005. There, I studied with Cécile Whiting and Miwon Kwon.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, I have a B.A. in Art History from the University of Arizona, and I’m also an alumna of University High School in that city.
